The development of a multi residential building is located in a historic neighbourhood of Ljubljana, characterized by bourgeois architecture. The area consists mainly of detached residential buildings with distinctive front gardens and rear yard spaces, while preserving lush street trees that contribute to the overall character of the neighbourhood. The proposed design follows the existing building lines, enhancing the front garden area and referencing the existing stone fence. A prominent, covered entrance in the form of an open pergola further reinforces the architectural identity.
The building’s visual appeal is constructed with a symmetrical volume, featuring characteristic vertical window openings and a hipped, four sided roof. The proposed materials include a combination of brass toned steel cladding, natural stone, and a darker grey roof, reflecting the material palette of the surrounding buildings. The apartments are designed with open floor plans, and each unit has a private outdoor space in the form of a loggia or rooftop terrace. The project thoughtfully merges historical architectural articulation with a modern interior concept.
