The house is located in the Karst region, known for its careful and resource-efficient construction. Traditional Karst houses are plastered in earthy tones, with terracotta roof tiles, gabled roofs, and stone window frames – jerte. The KP House follows this tradition and is designed as an elongated volume placed parallel to the terrain. The plot is divided into a public area facing the road, with the entrance and service spaces, and a private courtyard with bedrooms. The living area, positioned at the corner of the house, opens to three sides, while access and outdoor spaces are arranged naturally, with minimal intervention in the terrain.

The house is divided into two sections under a shared roof made of traditional terracotta tiles: one part serves as a storage area, while the other contains the living spaces. Between them is a carport and a service entrance. A key feature is the modern reinterpretation of the traditional stone jerta, which frames the panoramic glazing and also serves as a bench. The living area, with its open roof structure, creates a sense of airiness and spaciousness despite the home’s compact design.
