Our aim was to create a building with a compact volume on a narrow and long plot in Slovenian Istria, offering a stunning view of the Piran and Trieste bays. The goal was to design a villa that would not appear as a large single volume despite its size. The elevation of the house is designed in an L-shape with a stone base, and two terraces located between the house. The driveway view showcases the length and narrowness of the building, while on the other side, it appears lower when facing the pool due to the elevated terrain.
The use of a sand-toned material allows the villa to blend harmoniously with the surrounding houses. The central space of the living area is two-level and offers a north-facing view. Additionally, light enters the room from the south through strategically placed windows. The main living area features a two-level design, with the kitchen and living room divided in height. This division adds an extra dimension to the room, and a freestanding fireplace separating the dining room from the living room.
